Crystal Rain (fragment)

Garden State and twisting fate
wondering what you will remember
running long and lost our way
ice crystals dance in deep december
so what are the dreams which hold you here
and what are the tings that take away all your fear
curled up next to me
in a crystal rain
who am I? I do not know
who are you? time will show
the truth of things or atleast what they seem to be
well hold a mirror up to the wall
who is the fairest of them all?
the same voice asks and answers the questioning
so we find ourselves drifting here
in the desert of the far and near
we are our waypoints on this trackless sandy sphere
so standing on the shore through another's eyes
my feet have never searched those storm-cloud skies
lash your hands to mine we'll go through your hurricane
and in the eye you open your soul to ask me
what are the dreams which hold you here
and what are the things that take away all your fear
curled up next to me
in a crystal rain

do i close my eyes and keep my peace
or close my peace and open my eyes?
